The controversy regarding BJP candidate in Bihar’s Bankipur by-election is not stopping. Here BJP candidate Abhishek Bunty was changed. Now political activities have increased regarding the new candidate. This political debate is about the biodata of Neeraj Sinha, which has surprised everyone. According to the biodata sent by BJP of its new candidate, Neeraj Sinha was born in 1994.
He took membership of BJP in 2006. That is, according to the data, Neeraj was only 12 years old when he took membership of BJP. Now questions are being raised regarding this also. RJD has questioned that how did BJP give membership of the party to just 12 year old child Neeraj?
Why did Abhishek Bunty withdraw his nomination?
Before the Bankipur by-election, BJP candidate Abhishek withdrew his nomination on Friday citing family reasons. At the same time, Jan Suraj Party alleged that the candidate’s father was among the 75 people who were convicted in the fodder scam case along with RJD chief Lalu Prasad. CBI website also confirmed this.
Although BJP leaders did not react to JSP’s allegations, a CBI press release issued on 15 February 2022 said that the CBI had convicted 75 people, including many including Ravindra Prasad and Lalu Yadav.
Who is in competition?
This by-election seems to be turning into a triangular contest with Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Jan Suraj Party (JSP). With JSP founder Prashant Kishore entering the fray, Bankipur has become a prestige battle for the BJP, especially since its national president Nitin Nabin has been representing the seat since 2006. This constituency has been a BJP stronghold since 1995, when it was called Patna West.
