After the defeat in the West Bengal Assembly elections, turmoil is increasing within Trinamool. 60 MLAs remained absent from the meeting called for MLAs. In such a situation, Trinamool supremo and former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee went live on social media on Monday and targeted BJP. He said, “No matter how much force you use, Trinamool cannot be broken.” He said that TMC MLAs are being threatened to join BJP.
few days back Mamata Banerjee Had announced that she will not hold press conferences from now on, whatever she has to say, she will say it live on social media. Today Trinamool expelled two party MLAs Ritabrata Banerjee and Sandipan Saha from the party.
In a live video on social media, Mamata Banerjee said, the police is intimidating Trinamool Congress MLAs. They are being told to break the party and contact so and so person. Is this an example of democracy? MLAs are being intimidated. Yesterday, four MLAs told me that they were being intimidated. ED will arrest him. CBI will arrest him.
Conspiracy to scare MLAs and break the party
Mamta Banerjee said, do you want to break Trinamool Congress? No matter how much you try, Trinamool Congress will become stronger. Remember, Trinamool cannot be weakened by paying or threatening some MLAs and MPs. You can do whatever you want by force, Trinamool cannot be broken. The people of Bengal cannot be bowed down. Those who are making fun of the future of Bengali students, I would appeal to the student community that why are you not protesting? You are the backbone of the society. We students have also been protesting. Wherever we saw injustice, we protested.
He then complained, “They are not allowing our workers to take out processions. They are not allowing them to hold meetings. They are not letting them come out of their homes. Our 2,500 party offices have been demolished. Workers are being killed. They have targeted Bengal and defeated it. I know how you rigged 177 seats. Our Rajarhat candidate Tapas won. The next day, they called for recounting.” I don’t consider it a victory if they were forced to lose in name.”
Attempt to kill Abhishek
Regarding the attack on Abhishek Banerjee in Sonarpur, Mamata Banerjee said, “The people who had gone to save Abhishek were arrested. They had brought people from outside a day before. There were not many local people there. There is video recording. If they had not worn helmets, they would have thrown stones like this, they would have been killed on the spot.”
Mamata Banerjee said, “…Derek O’Brien told me, ‘Didi, as per the doctors’ advice, we had asked for three scans to be done in OPD to check internal injuries, but, no OPD service was provided. Does this mean that people will be refused medical treatment? Will any hospital refuse to admit a member of the opposition? What kind of monarchy is this?…”
