Police did not give permission to protest, Mamta Banerjee will protest on the streets tomorrow

Former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had announced a protest on Tuesday against the attack on Trinamool Congress National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee, but the police did not give permission. After the police did not give permission, Mamata Banerjee announced to take to the streets. After Kolkata Police did not allow Trinamool Congress to hold any protest, Mamata Banerjee has decided to take to the streets of Kolkata on Tuesday for the first time after the election results. It is not clear yet whether they will be allowed to take to the streets or not. Police can stop them outside their house.

Mamata Banerjee Announcing to sit on dharna on Rani Rasmani Road, she had said that she is going to sit on dharna on Rani Rasmani Road in Dharmatala from 10 am to 8 pm on Tuesday. According to sources, Mamta Banerjee will be present from 2 pm to 8 pm.

Police did not give permission to Mamta to protest

However, according to sources, the police did not allow the protest on Rani Rasmani Road. After not getting police permission a day before the protest on Tuesday, Mamata Banerjee announced to take to the streets.

Earlier, during the Mamata government, as the leader of the opposition, Subhendu Adhikari used to take permission from the police to hold protests at different places. It is alleged that at that time Mamata’s police did not give him permission. He had to go to court again and again.

Mamata will protest on the streets on Tuesday

This time the police had not given permission to stage a protest on Rani Rasmani Road. As an alternative, the police has offered to sit in ‘Y’ channel. There permission has been given for 2 hours. According to sources, Trinamool was not ready for this initially. This will be the first time after the defeat in the West Bengal Assembly elections, when Mamata Banerjee will take to the streets to protest against the government of Subhendu Adhikari.

Meanwhile, today two Trinamool MLAs Ritabrata Banerjee and Sandipan Saha have been expelled from the Trinamool party. Recently, both these MLAs had accused the party of forgery of signatures. Chief Minister Shubhendu Adhikari made this announcement again in a press conference. After that Trinamool Congress took strict action against both the MLAs.
