PoJK issue echoed in London, thousands of Kashmiris took to the streets against the brutality of Pak Army.

Thousands of Kashmiri community people living in the United Kingdom took out ‘London Kashmir Million March’ in London on Sunday. The protesters marched from Parliament Square to Pakistan High Commission. During this, he raised his voice against human rights violations in Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). Along with this, demanded the release of the detained political workers.

According to sources, about 50 thousand people took part in this march. People from Baloch and Pashtun communities also participated in the demonstration. These people showed solidarity with the Kashmiri protesters by accusing the Pakistan Army of human rights violations in their respective areas.

Slogans in support of independence

During the march, protesters raised pro-independence slogans and condemned the arrest of Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) chief Shaukat Nawaz Mir and other political leaders. The protesters said that the arrest of Kashmiri leaders and social workers is an attack on freedom of expression and the right to peaceful protest. He demanded the immediate release of all the detained leaders and workers.

Serious allegations made against Pak Army

Speaking to the media outside the Pakistan High Commission, Jammu and Kashmir National Independence Alliance (JKNIA) Chairman Mahmood Kashmiri said that today many people are present outside the Pakistan High Commission and Kashmiris all over the world are raising their voice against the Pakistani Army. He said that Kashmiris all over the world are raising their voice against the atrocities of the Pakistani Army. He said that we will not kneel before Pakistan at any cost and will continue our movement against this atrocities and oppression.

‘Kashmiris are now uniting…’

Mahmood Kashmiri alleged that Pakistan’s security agencies have committed violence against civilians in areas like Tattapani, Sinhsa and Kotli. He said that Kashmiris living all over the world are now uniting against this alleged oppression. He said that Pakistan should respect the agreements made by it and give its rights to the people of PoJK. He warned that if Pakistan’s regime and security forces continue to oppress Kashmiris, Kashmiris around the world will continue their peaceful but strong protest.

Demand to hand over the bodies of the deceased to their families

He also alleged that after detaining many Kashmiri youth, their bodies were not handed over to their families. He demanded that all the detained youth be immediately released and the bodies of those who died be returned to their families. He said that the Kashmiri community will never bow down to the alleged oppression of Pakistan and will continue to fight for its rights in a democratic and peaceful manner.

Protests continue in PoJK since June 5

This demonstration has taken place at a time when protests are going on in Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir since June 5. Organizers claim that the movement intensified when several people died in alleged firing by security forces on local protesters. After this, many leaders and workers associated with the Joint Awami Action Committee were arrested. The protesters allege that the Pakistan administration is continuously taking action to suppress political dissent.

Appeal for intervention from the international community

Organizers of the march said the London Kashmir Million March aims to express solidarity with the victims of violence and repression in PoJK and demand that Pakistan be held accountable for alleged human rights violations. The protesters also appealed to the international community to pay attention to the situation in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir and take necessary steps to ensure the protection of the rights of the people living there.
