Surendra Sharma was finally asked how he wanted Padmashree Surendra Sharma to be remembered by history. Responding to this, he said- I want to write such a poem that the people of the entire country can connect with each other. I want to write such a timeless poem. And I am also trying this. I am thinking of writing something that will not break a person under any circumstances but will only unite him.

Talking on this, Surendra Sharma said – Today everyone got a place on the stages but Kavita did not. Poetry will not survive because children have stopped reading Hindi. Earlier, the IAS were also scholars of Sanskrit. Now children have also stopped studying Hindi. Children are studying Hindi only till 9th class. He did not read literature. You won’t even remember the names of Bachchan-Nirala and who they were. That is why it is very difficult to write poems in today’s time.
