PM Modi’s long innings resonated in the world, Slovakia’s Prime Minister Fico called it a ‘political miracle’

Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico on Monday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for being India’s longest serving democratically elected Prime Minister. He called it a ‘political miracle’. After completing his tour of France, PM Modi is currently on a three-day visit to Slovakia. During his stay in Nice, he and Macron together inaugurated the India Innovates 2026 Conclave.

Pointing out that India-EU FTA is one of the largest free trade agreements, FICO assured that Slovakia will take necessary and practical steps to implement this agreement. He also said that the relations between the two countries will grow to full and strategic cooperation.

This exchange of congratulations came after PM Modi achieved a historic achievement on June 10, when he became India’s longest serving Prime Minister by completing 12 years in the central government. From Ethiopia to South Korea, there is a stream of people congratulating PM Modi.

Agreement on strategic partnership between India and Slovakia

On Sunday, Serbia’s Prime Minister congratulated PM Modi on becoming India’s longest-serving elected head of government, while highlighting the deepening ties between New Delhi and Belgrade.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized that India and Slovakia are moving forward in close coordination on the global stage. He said, he is an experienced leader and a true friend of India. Their friendship and strong commitment have played an important role in taking India-Slovakia relations to new heights. I am very happy to have the opportunity to meet him today and witness a historic moment in our relations.

He said that this is the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister to Slovakia. I am glad that on this historic occasion, we have decided to elevate our relationship to a Comprehensive Partnership. It is a symbol of our shared trust, shared priorities and shared future.”
