
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Rajasthan and Gujarat on July 4. At around 10:45 am, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the terminal building of Jodhpur Airport and launch the revised UDAN scheme in Jodhpur. After this, at around 12:15 pm, he will go to Balotra, where he will inaugurate, inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of development projects worth about Rs 1.06 lakh crore. On this occasion he will also address a public meeting.

Revised flight scheme launched in Jodhpur
Giving a big boost to the aviation sector, the Prime Minister will launch the revised UDAN scheme in Jodhpur. This is a significant leap in India’s civil aviation landscape and will further advance the vision of “Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik”. With an allocation of ₹28,840 crore over the next 10 years, the scheme aims to accelerate the next phase of aviation-led growth. It focuses on a number of strategic components designed to ensure broad and sustained connectivity.

Viability Gap Funding (VGF) support of over Rs 10,000 crore has been extended to airlines under this scheme to ensure continuity of regional operations and gradually boost business viability. Further strengthening the vision of a self-reliant India, the initiative also includes procurement of indigenous aircraft and helicopters, such as the HAL Dhruv and Dornier platforms, to enhance connectivity and operations in underserved areas.
During the program, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate the new terminal building at Jodhpur Airport. This project has been developed at a total cost of ₹480 crore. Spread over an area of more than 23,000 square metres, the new terminal building is capable of handling 20 lakh passengers per year. It is equipped with modern passenger amenities to provide a smooth and comfortable travel experience to the passengers.
Prime Minister’s program in Balotra
The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate various development projects worth about Rs 1.06 lakh crore in Balotra. These projects cover a wide range of sectors including petrochemicals, urban transport, railways, roads, renewable energy and power transmission.
The project is expected to play an important role in strengthening India’s energy security, enhancing petrochemical self-reliance and accelerating industrial development. It will act as a base industry for the development of petrochemical and plastics parks in the region, thereby giving a boost to related industries and supporting sectors. Additionally, the refinery is set to generate significant employment opportunities, thereby contributing to the socio-economic development of the region.
The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for the second phase of the Jaipur Metro Rail Project, the total cost of which is more than ₹13,000 crore. Under the second phase, a 41 km long North-South Metro corridor will be developed from Prahladpura to Todi Mod, which will connect the industrial and residential areas of Sitapura and Vishwakarma Industrial Area (VKI) through 36 stations.

The Prime Minister will also hand over appointment letters to about 54,000 youth recruited in various departments of the Rajasthan Government. Those recruited include personnel from education, energy, home, panchayati raj, transport, higher education, skill development, planning, agriculture, information technology and administrative reforms departments.

The Prime Minister will inaugurate the CG Semi Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facility located in Sanand, Gujarat. The inauguration marks a significant milestone in India’s semiconductor manufacturing sector as the facility begins commercial production. This is a major step towards strengthening India’s position in the global semiconductor value chain. The project is one of the first four projects sanctioned under the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) and has been developed with a total investment of more than Rs 7,500 crore.
