Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed Indians in New Zealand. During this, he remembered something 25 years old. PM Modi said that about 25-30 years ago, when I was not a part of any government and no one knew me in public life, I got a chance to go to New Zealand. He said that at that time, someone had given me three things. A muffler, which I’m wearing now, a hat and a glove. He said that this muffler was given to me by a Kiwi in New Zealand, and I always keep it with me.
At a community event in Auckland, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India-New Zealand relations have memories, friendship, values and a commitment. These relationships can be understood well from a beautiful tradition of New Zealand. He said that for centuries, one word has been connecting the people here, ‘Waka’. He said that ‘Waka’ is not just the name of a canoe, it is a symbol of our common journey. Today, India-New Zealand’s ‘WACA’ is ready to start a new journey. There are immense opportunities before us and the wind is also in our favor.”

Mentioned the possibilities of New Zealand
PM Modi said, “New Zealand is a place where Nikhil Ravi Shankar can become the CEO of ‘Air New Zealand’ and Anand Satyanand can become the Governor-General. Where talented players like Rachin Ravindra, Ish Sodhi and Ajaz Patel can get a chance in the cricket team. New Zealand is a place where respect has been given to Indian cities even in the naming of roads. He said that there is Khandala there, not the Khandala of films and Bombay. There are many such names like Hills, Coromandel, Calcutta Street, Delhi Crescent, Amritsar Street.
PM Modi said that India wants to learn from New Zealand in the game of rugby. For this we need coaches and experts. New Zealand can help us a lot in this matter. I consider the recent coaching program between New Zealand Rugby and Rugby India in Bhubaneswar to be a great start. I am confident that together we can achieve a lot in the field of sports technology. The future of India and New Zealand is interconnected.
