Foundation Day on 2nd June
Telangana State Foundation Day is celebrated every year on 2 June. This day reminds us of the aspirations and struggles of the Telangana movement demanding a separate state. After years of protests, negotiations and parliamentary approval, Telangana was formed under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act, 2014. Telangana Rashtra Samithi chief K. Chandrashekhar Rao was elected the first Chief Minister of the state.
