
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday left for a six-day visit to France and Slovakia. During this tour, PM Modi will meet President Donald Trump in France. The White House has confirmed this meeting. Apart from his official bilateral visits to both the countries, PM Modi will also participate in the G-7 summit in France.
During this visit of the Indian Prime Minister, discussions related to the technology sector will be important, along with this, attention will also be paid to his meetings with global leaders. PM Modi will also meet French President Emmanuel Macron and review bilateral relations with him. It is being told that during this period, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump will meet in France. This will be their first such meeting after about one and a half years.
Earlier both the leaders had met on 25 February 2025. That means after 16 months both the friends will meet once again. Earlier, Trump had congratulated PM Modi on completing his 12-year tenure. After this, PM Modi thanked Trump on X.
What issues can be discussed?
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a week-long foreign tour and will participate in the G-7 summit to be held in the French city of Evian on June 16 and 17. There he will also hold a bilateral meeting with US President Donald Trump. No significant progress is being made right now on the trade agreement between India and America. However, issues like defence, energy and visas for Indians can be discussed.
