PM Modi and Macron met in France, inaugurated Bharat Innovates 2026

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met French President Emmanuel Macron in Nice city of France on Sunday. During the meeting, Macron warmly welcomed PM Modi. Both the leaders hugged each other and shook hands. After this they together inaugurated the Bharat Innovates 2026 program. This event is being organized to bring together startups, investors and venture capital funds from India, France and other countries of the world on one platform.

Bharat Innovates 2026 conference will run for three days from June 14 to June 16. It is being considered an important event of the India-France Year of Innovation. Its objective is to promote new technology, innovation and business partnerships. This program shows that cooperation in the field of technology and innovation between India and France is continuously strengthening.

More than 120 startups are participating

More than 120 deep-tech startups from India are participating in this event. Apart from this, more than 15 major higher educational institutions and research organizations are also included. These also include prestigious institutions like Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).

The objective of the conference is to connect Indian startups and research institutes with investors, industry experts and educational institutions from across the world. This is expected to provide new investments, technical cooperation and global opportunities to Indian companies and youth.

What will be the focus of the program?

Special attention will be paid to future technologies in the program. These include advanced computing, semiconductor, space technology, new technologies in defense sector, biotechnology, healthcare and climate change related technologies.

Experts believe that this conference is a big opportunity for India to showcase its technological capabilities to the world and attract international investment. There will also be a bilateral meeting between Modi and Macron during this visit. The relations between the two countries have recently been given the status of Special Global Strategic Partnership and after that this is the first summit meeting of the two leaders.
