People of Punjab do not like compromised leaders… Channi-Randhawa group bluntly confronts Bhupesh Baghel regarding wedding.

The discord in Punjab Congress is not stopping. To stop this, Channi-Randhawa faction held a meeting with Bhupesh Baghel on Saturday. In this, the Channi-Randhawa faction sent a one-line proposal to the high command through Bhupesh Baghel, in which it was said that it is not possible to form a Congress government in Punjab without Channi. Channi is a popular leader. People of Punjab do not like compromised leaders. He made this allegation against Amarinder Singh Raja Vading without taking his name.

On the meeting with Bhupesh Baghel, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said that our conversation was good, in which we agreed that sometimes the party has to change some decisions. Our demand from the leadership present today is clear. We want a Congress government in Punjab and we want to talk about issues like law and order situation and corruption. To achieve this, we need unity within the party but we also need leaders who will express their views courageously and firmly. We do not need leaders who compromise.

All leaders agree with the decisions of Congress high command: Baghel

Punjab Congress in-charge Bhupesh Baghel spoke to the media after meeting the leaders of Channi faction. He told that MLA Rana Gurjit Singh had invited him for the meeting. During the meeting he talked to all the leaders, who put forward their respective issues. Baghel claimed that all the leaders agreed with the decisions of the Congress high command.

However, some issues were discussed and those leaders were assured that their concerns would be conveyed to the party high command, he said. No leader should be influenced by the influence of any senior leader and tickets will be given only on the basis of his ability to win elections.

‘There was no discussion on this issue in the meeting’

Baghel said that some leaders have shared their concerns and suggestions with him, which they will present before the high command. There is no dissatisfaction within Punjab Congress. Responding to speculations about the removal of Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh from his post, Baghel claimed that there was no discussion on the issue in the meeting.
