The Supreme Court, while hearing the petition of home buyers of Parshvanath Exotica Project in Sector 53, Gurugram, expressed strong displeasure over the non-implementation of the orders of the Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (HRERA). CJI Surya Kant said that he has betrayed the entire country. If you do not follow the orders within a week, you will be sent to jail. They are making fun of the system. The same thing will happen to them as happened to Unitech. The entire system has been hijacked.
CJI Said that the Haryana government says that the compliance affidavit has been filed. However, it was filed only yesterday evening and was not attached with the paperbook. This should be done immediately, the defendant builder has appeared. Let them explain the reason for not following the orders of Haryana RERA.
Supreme Court reprimanded
Before enforcing the non-bailable warrant already issued, we give one last chance to the builders to deposit the entire recoverable amount with 12% per annum interest in the Supreme Court Registry. It should be submitted within a week. List this matter for next Monday. Everything will remain frozen.
Senior lawyer Piya Hingorani said that I thought that they would bring the demand draft today. The builder’s lawyer said that we have a plan.
The next step will be jail… Supreme Court warns
CJI said no plan. Submit and then talk. We are working under Article 142, we have nothing to do with IBC, bankruptcy etc. We know these fraudulent traders. We don’t want to say much. There should be no misunderstanding about our order, the next step is jail. That is all.
