
The meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Matters related to the Education Ministry will be held today (June 1) and tomorrow (June 2). In today’s meeting, Higher Education Secretary, Secretary Health Ministry, DG NTA and representatives of United Doctor Front have been called in the NEET paper leak case. At the same time, the committee has summoned the officials of the Union Education Ministry and CBSE on June 2 to review the problems faced by the students after the class 12 exam results and the on-screen evaluation system.
The committee will also discuss the three language formula being implemented in classes 9 and 10. The committee has called School Education Secretary Sanjay Kumar and CBSE Chairman Rahul Singh to attend the meeting on June 2. In the meeting, the use of on-screen evaluation system in Class 12 examinations and the problems faced by the students thereafter will be reviewed.
Displeasure of students and parents
Recently, CBSE had to face the wrath of students and parents over technical glitches, payment failures and problems in accessing the portal during the verification and revaluation process of Class 12 results.
Parliamentary committee meeting will be held today also
According to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat, the committee will meet today also. In the meeting to be held at 10 am, the action taken by the government on the demand for grants report related to the Higher Education Department of the Education Ministry will be reviewed. After this, at 11 am, the committee will hold a meeting with the secretaries of the Higher Education Department and the Health Ministry, the Director General of the National Testing Agency (NTA), representatives of the United Doctors Front and Dr. Gulshan Garg, a former orthopedic surgeon of the Indian Air Force. The difference between written examination and computer based examination system and issues related to National Eligibility cum Entrance Test and National Testing Agency will be discussed in the meeting.

- Use of Pen-and-Paper Testing versus Computer Based Testing (CBT).
- Thoughts and viewpoints related to NEET and NTA.
- On June 2, Secretary, School Education and Chairman, CBSE have been summoned. In the 12th CBSE exam, questions will be asked regarding the usefulness of On-Screen Assessment (OSM) and the problems faced by the students due to it. In classes 9th and 10th, questions and answers will also be asked on application formulas of three languages.
