Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi made an emotional post on the death anniversary of his father Rajiv Gandhi and said that Papa, I will fulfill your dreams of making India prosperous. On the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, many prominent personalities including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra remembered him.

Senior Congress leader and MP Rahul Gandhi made an emotional post on social media X on Thursday, remembering his father and former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his 34th death anniversary. Sharing a picture with his father in his post, Rahul Gandhi said, “Papa, I will fulfill the responsibility of realizing the efficient, prosperous and strong India that you had dreamed of. The lessons taught by you, your values ​​and your memories will always be with me.” Rahul also shared another photo while paying tribute to his father.

PM Modi also remembered Rajiv

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid tribute to Rajiv Gandhi on his death anniversary. PM Modi said in his post on social media platform X, “Tributes to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his death anniversary.” Rajiv Gandhi was the Prime Minister of the country from 31 October 1984 to 2 December 1989.

Former Prime Minister Rajiv was born on 20 August 1944 in Mumbai and was assassinated on 21 May 1991 in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu. He was assassinated by a woman in a suicide attack during an election rally in Sriperumbudur on 21 May 1991. 18 people including Rajiv were killed in this attack.
