
The new team of Bharatiya Janata Party in Uttar Pradesh seems to be giving priority to young leadership while striking a balance between experience and social representation. The large participation of leaders below 50 years of age in the 64-member team announced by State President Pankaj Choudhary gives a clear indication of the party’s future strategy and intention to take the next generation forward.
In the new team, two leaders below 35 years of age have been given important responsibilities. Apart from this, BJP has expressed its confidence in youth leadership by including 11 leaders below 40 years of age, 16 below 45 years of age and 27 below 50 years of age in the organization. The party believes that these young faces will infuse new energy, modern thinking and better communication skills at the grassroots level into the organization.
It is being told that efforts have also been made to ensure a balanced social structure in the new team. Out of 64 officials, 30 members, about 47 percent, are from the Other Backward Class (OBC) category. 26 leaders from the general category have been included, which is about 41 percent of the team. Apart from this, 7 members of Scheduled Caste and 1 member of Scheduled Tribe have been given representation.
Top 10 officials from Brahmin community
In terms of caste representation, the Brahmin community has the maximum number of 10 officials. Leaders of Kshatriya (7), Bhumihar (5) and Vaishya (4) communities have also been given responsibilities. BJP has tried to create a broad social balance by giving representation to communities like Kurmi, Jat, Yadav, Pal, Gurjar, Lodhi and Shakya.
Important roles assigned to 12 women in the team
Special emphasis has also been laid on increasing women’s participation. In the new team, 12 women have been assigned important roles, which include 4 Vice Presidents, 1 General Secretary and 7 Ministers. This step is being considered an important step in line with BJP’s policy of women empowerment.
Strong in terms of educational qualification also
The new team also looks strong in terms of educational qualifications; The 64 officials include 29 post-graduate, 25 graduates and 4 PhD holders. Apart from this, leaders with professional degrees like B.Tech, LLB and MBA have also been included in the organization.
Maximum 16 officials from Awadh region
Talking about regional balance, maximum 16 officials have been elected from Awadh region. The team includes 13 officials from Kashi region, 10 from Western Uttar Pradesh, 9 from Braj region and 8 each from Kanpur and Gorakhpur regions.
A mix of social, regional and generational balance
According to political experts, this new team of BJP is a mix of social, regional and generational balance. Its objective is to strengthen the organization for the upcoming electoral challenges by including youth leadership, ensuring participation of women and giving representation to different sections of the society.
