Pancharatra Vrat 2026 Dates: Special importance of Adhikamas has been given in Hindu religion. The results of fasting, chanting, penance and charity done during this period are multiplied. Pancharatra fast, which starts from Param Ekadashi of Adhikamas, is also considered to be one such very virtuous fast. This is a special fast lasting for five days, which starts from Param Ekadashi and ends on Amavasya Tithi.

What is Pancharatra fast?

The word Pancharatra means a fast observed for five nights or five days. This fast starts from Param Ekadashi and continues till Dwadashi, Trayodashi, Chaturdashi and Amavasya. During these five days, special worship of Lord Vishnu is done and a virtuous life is followed. In the scriptures, it has been described as a fast that removes poverty and fulfills wishes. It is believed that by observing this fast, a person gets the special blessings of Lord Vishnu and the obstacles in life are reduced.

Pancharatra fast 2026 dates

  • Day 1 (Param Ekadashi): 11 June 2026, Thursday
  • Second day (Dwadashi): 12 June 2026, Friday
  • Third day (Trayodashi): 13 June 2026, Saturday
  • Fourth day (Chaturdashi): 14 June 2026, Sunday
  • Fifth day (Amavasya): 15 June 2026, Monday

Meditating, chanting mantras and worshiping Lord Vishnu for these five days is considered especially fruitful.

Worship method of Pancharatra fast

During Pancharatra fast, one should wake up every morning in Brahma Muhurta, take bath and wear clean clothes. After this, light a lamp and worship in front of the statue or picture of Lord Vishnu. Offer yellow flowers, Tulsi leaves, Panchamrit and fruits to Lord Vishnu. Chanting Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevaya mantra is considered auspicious. Eat vegetarian food during these five days and stay away from anger, lies and negative thoughts. Donating food, clothes or money to needy people on Amavasya, the last day of the fast, is also considered auspicious.

Religious significance of Pancharatra fast

According to mythological texts, Pancharatra fast is related to the worship of Lord Vishnu. It is described in Skanda Purana that by observing this fast, Lord Kuber attained the position of Dhanpati and treasurer of the gods. For this reason, this fast is considered to bestow wealth, glory and prosperity. There is a religious belief that by observing Pancharatri fast, a person’s accumulated sins are destroyed and he attains virtue. Along with this, one gets the blessings of happiness, peace and financial stability in the family.
