US Vice President JD Vance has told CBS News that the text of the US-Iran deal will be released by Friday. He says that the mediators of Qatar and Pakistan have asked America to wait for some more time in releasing the text of the entire deal. “We’re actually trying to get it released today because we want to tell the American people what’s in this deal,” Vance said.
Ever since the MoU was agreed upon, leaks of the framework have been coming and various speculations are being made about them. To dispel the speculations, everyone is waiting for the text of this deal to be officially released. Vance’s statement is being discussed as to what threat the release of the text poses to Pakistan, which mediates between the two countries.
Why is Pakistan afraid to release the text of the deal?
According to reports, Iran seems to be getting many strategic victories in this deal. However, the US President has called it a victory for America. If the deal comes out before it is signed, it may increase opposition to Trump in America and Israel and Trump may be forced to cancel the deal under pressure from the Israeli lobby. Due to which it seems that Pakistan and Qatar do not want to take any risk before the deal which could put the deal at risk.
Iran will get 300 billion dollars
When JD Vance was asked about reports that the deal included a $300 billion (223.7 billion pound) reconstruction fund for Iran, the Vice President said, “None of this is going to happen unless Iran fundamentally changes its behavior with the world.” JD Vance made it clear that this fund will not be given to Americans but to American allies in the Gulf.
