Pakistan connection of Delhi Protest? Police started investigation of conspiracy

Delhi Police on Monday appealed to people to maintain peace and avoid spreading rumors or unverified information amid the ongoing Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protests over the alleged NEET exam paper leak. At the same time, the police has started investigation in view of the violent protests and is also investigating the conspiracy behind the violence.

As it was said in a tweet that 7 protesters have died in the violence. 391 have been injured and 250 people have been arrested.

On behalf of the police, it has been said that the protests are being managed by Delhi Police and other designated law and order units, which include CAPFs and RAF personnel. No deployment of army has been made to manage the protests.

Police say that the footage of civilian protests, fabricated deployment of the Army, false allegations of weapon action, are meant to spread propaganda with the aim of creating panic and damaging the reputation of the Indian Army. A fact check has also been done by the Indian Army in this regard.

It has been said by the police that if the role of any political party in inciting violence is revealed then action will be taken against it also.

Police detained 70 people, not many students

Police say that many FIRs are being registered. According to the police, 70 people have been detained so far. Many of these people are not students. Police also asked the protesters to cooperate with security personnel and follow legal instructions to maintain public order.

In a post on Twitter, the official account of Delhi Police wrote, “Delhi Police appeals to all the protesters to maintain peace, exercise restraint and cooperate with the police in maintaining peace and public order. All persons are requested to behave peacefully, not indulge in any unlawful or violent activities and follow the legal instructions issued by the police officers/personnel on duty.”

The post read, “People are advised not to believe or share rumours, misinformation or unverified content through any platform. Citizens are requested to trust only genuine sources of information and cooperate with Delhi Police in maintaining peace, harmony and public order.”
