Terrorist incidents reduced in June: PICSS
Earlier last month also, some unidentified armed men had attacked police positions in Qila Abdullah, Pishin and Duki districts, in which one policeman was killed and two others were injured.
Similarly, in April, a police head constable was killed in a terrorist attack on a check post in Hurmazai area of Pishin district.
However, data from the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS) shows that despite several major attacks, there has been a significant decline in anti-government violence and related security incidents in Pakistan in the month of June.
Giving province-wise information for June, PICSS found that terrorism incidents have “significantly reduced” in Balochistan. A total of 49 attacks took place in this Balochistan province in the month of June, while there were 71 attacks in May, which shows a decrease of 31%.
