PAK vs AUS, Women’s T20 World Cup 2026: Will feel pity for this condition of Pakistan, captain cried in pain after the match

June 24, 2026 by Uma Shankar

Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Pakistan is left craving a victory. Everyone knew that the team which had been defeated by India, South Africa and even Bangladesh, would face a strong team like Australia. It happened exactly the same. Australia has made Pakistan’s condition such that one will feel pity after seeing it. Pakistan women’s cricket team had to face defeat by a margin more than the runs it scored against Australia. This was the fourth consecutive defeat for the Pakistani team, which could not win a single match in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026.

Did the captain cry after the match?

The condition created by Australia in the match played in Leeds on 23 June, Pakistan Captain Fatima Sana was forced to confess the truth. This was the reason why she was seen crying in pain after the match. He admitted that his team played poorly and failed miserably in every department.

Target of 200 and Australia… where was Pakistan going to win?

In the match, Australia, batting first, scored 199 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. In this, Ellis Perry’s inning of 71 runs in 48 balls played a big contribution. Now the defeat of Pakistan team was certain in front of the target of 200 runs. After coming on the field for the run chase, his failure was also confirmed.

3 run out, 8 batsmen failed to score 10 runs

How the situation worsened in front of the Australian team can be seen by looking at the score card of Pakistan. Only 3 batsmen of Pakistan were run out. Including those 3, there were 8 batsmen who failed to score even 10 runs. The three Pakistani batsmen who crossed the double figures were Muniba Ali, Iram Javed and team captain Fatima Sana herself. Muniba Ali scored the maximum 32 runs.

Pakistan lost by more runs than it scored

20 overs is a long way. Pakistan team could not stand against the Australian bowlers even for 15 overs on the ground of Leeds. Its innings was reduced to 86 runs in 13.4 overs and thus Pakistan lost by more runs than it scored while chasing the target of 200 runs. Australia defeated Pakistan by 113 runs.

Compliment or sarcasm?

After the match, Australian player Ellyse Perry, who became the player of the match, definitely said that Pakistan showed good intent and challenged us on many occasions. But it seems that this is less of a praise for the Pakistani team and more of a taunt on it.
