PAK vs AUS: Pakistan made a record by defeating Australia in the ODI series, became the first team of Asia

Pakistan beat Australia in ODI Series: Pakistan has won the 3 ODI series from Australia. Pakistan won the series 2-1 by winning by 4 wickets in the third and last ODI played in Lahore on June 4. With this, Pakistan also made a record. They became the first Asian team to win 3 consecutive ODI series against Australia. Pakistan is the second team in the world to do this.

Pakistan won the third ODI

In the third and last match of the ODI series, Australia Pakistan Was given an easy target of 158 runs to win, which it achieved by losing 6 wickets in just 41.5 overs. In this run chase, Babar Azam scored the maximum 40 runs for Pakistan. Shadab Khan, who came at number 8, was the second successful batsman of the team, who remained unbeaten after scoring 29 runs. Apart from him, opener Maaz Sadakat scored 27 runs. Matt Kunheman took 3 out of 6 wickets for Pakistan.

Australia’s innings ended at 157 runs

Earlier, the Australian team had batted first in the third ODI. But his innings was limited to 157 runs in 42 overs. Except captain Josh Inglis, all the Australian batsmen looked bowed before the havoc of Pakistani bowlers. Josh English played an inning of 65 runs. Shaheen Shah Afridi was the most successful bowler from Pakistan, who took 3 wickets. Apart from him, Abrar Ahmed and Shadab Khan took 2-2 wickets.

Pakistan made a record by winning the ODI series

Pakistan won the third ODI by 4 wickets with 49 balls remaining and captured the series 2-1. This is his third consecutive ODI series win against Australia. Earlier, Pakistan had defeated Australia 2-1 in the ODI series played on its own soil in 2022. After that, on the tour of Australia in 2024, the 1-2 to 3 ODI series was named after him. Pakistan is the first Asian team to achieve the feat of winning 3 consecutive ODI series against Australia. It is the second team in the world to do so after South Africa.
