Orange Cap and Purple Cap Holder List in IPL 2026: In the 69th match of IPL 2026, the teams of Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians will face each other at the Wankhede ground. This match is not only important for the last spot of the playoff, apart from that, Vaibhav Suryavanshi will also have a chance to become number 1 again in the run race. Becoming number 1 in the race for runs means capturing the Orange Cap. At present, Vaibhav Suryavanshi has come at fourth position in this race. But, if he plays big innings against Mumbai Indians, he can become number 1 again.

That means, he is 59 runs ahead of Vaibhav Suryavanshi who is at number four. Vaibhav has 579 runs after 13 innings of 13 matches. In the race for Orange Cap, Shubhman Gill of Gujarat Titans is at second position after scoring 616 runs in 13 matches. Whereas Heinrich Klaasen has scored 606 runs in 14 matches and is at number three.

What will Vaibhav Suryavanshi have to do to become number 1?

Now what will Vaibhav Suryavanshi have to do to become number 1 in the Orange Cap race? His 60th run against Mumbai Indians is going to be priceless. Meaning, as soon as he scores at least 60 runs, he will become number 1 again, leaving behind Klaasen, Gill and Sudarshan. However, the longer innings Vaibhav plays against Mumbai, the more advantage Rajasthan has in it. To go to the playoffs, Rajasthan Royals must win the match against Mumbai Indians at any cost.

Close contest between Bhuvi and Rabada

purple cap Talking about it, there is a tough competition between Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Kagiso Rabada. Both have 24-24 wickets after 14-14 matches. However, due to better average and economy, Bhuvi is number 1 in this race. Bhubaneswar’s average is 18.50 and economy is 8.07. Whereas Rabada has taken 24 wickets at an average of 20.54 and economy of 9.18.
