Rajya Sabha member and BJP national spokesperson Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi has launched a scathing attack on the INDIA alliance. He said that the BJP strongly condemns the letter written to the Chief Justice of India and the unsuccessful attempt to attack democracy by some political parties who consider their respective political parties as their property and continuously fail by insulting the sentiments of the people.
In fact, the INDIA alliance has made public the letter written to the Chief Justice on Friday, in which it has been accused of manipulation in the electoral process. This letter, signed by top leaders of 23 opposition political parties, was written on June 28. It has been said in the letter that our democratic system is in danger, hence we have chosen this unusual path.
Sudhanshu Trivedi said during a press conference, ‘I want to ask the Congress Party and other opposition parties that the language style in which you have written the letter to the Supreme Court, appears to be the same arrogant language style which was seen during the Emergency. Congress and other opposition parties are not only in opposition, they are also running the government in some states. I want to know what their governance model is! You are running the government in Telangana, Karnataka. When we were in the opposition, PM Modi made Gujarat a model state and started the ‘Vibrant Gujarat’ event, which continues in the state even today. What is your governance model? Only politics of appeasement and corruption, as well as cooperation with fundamentalists.

Sudhanshu Trivedi further said, ‘You blame the Election Commission and democracy, but never ask questions of the Gandhi family, who could not even win their Amethi seat without the help of Samajwadi Party.’ He also targeted the opposition parties regarding SIR. He said, ‘In Kerala, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor admitted in a TV interview that the ‘Special Intensive Revision’ (SIR) process benefited the Congress because fake voters included in the voter list during the Left rule were removed.’
DK Shivkumar had given instructions for cooperation in the SIR process.
He told, ‘Recently in Karnataka, DK Shivakumar had instructed party workers to cooperate in the SIR process. Yet today Congress is criticizing the same process. This contradiction raises serious questions on the intentions of the Congress Party. He said that SIR has been declared completely reasonable and legal by different courts. This has been done from time to time in the past also by the Government of India and the Election Commission.
Sudhanshu Trivedi said, ‘From the constitutional point of view, the opposition parties have failed even once to put any factual matter before the court and the dream of capturing power in the states on the basis of doubtful voters now seems to be shattered.’
