World’s Loudest Man: Have you ever thought that a human being’s voice can be so loud that it can leave behind even the sound of a fighter jet? Joseph McGreal-Betteup, of Canberra, Australia (Joseph McGrail-Bateup) has done a similar feat, who has made a name for himself in the Guinness World Records (Guinness World Records) has been registered in.
Usually people make their mark through their work, but Joseph is making headlines all over the world for his strong and resonant voice. According to Guinness World Records, Joseph reached 122.4 decibels (dB) broke all previous records by shouting with such intensity. Their scream is equivalent to the noise of a rock concert or the sound of a fighter jet taking off.
This record of Joseph fits perfectly with his profession. He is the official town cryer of Canberra and Queanbeyan, and is known as ‘Lord Joseph’. Their job is to raise their voice at public events, car shows and amidst huge crowds. He said, in the initial days I could just make it to the competitions, but in 2024 I secured first place with a sound of 98 decibels. After this I thought of doing something big.
Special word chosen for record
Town crying competitions traditionally begin with ‘Oyez, Oyez’ (Oyez, Oyez), but for the world record Joseph had to do something different. Along with his daughter, he researched for months to find out which word makes the decibel meter go the highest when spoken. First he‘Quiet’ Chosen words, but did not matter. At last heNow’ Chose the word, which gave him the world record.
Records have also been made in archery
Getting his name registered in the Guinness Book is not a new thing for Joseph. He has also made a record in archery in 2019. Journey from a shy child to a record holder
Joseph, who has become the loudest person in the world today, was exactly the opposite in his childhood. He told that he was very shy in his childhood and spoke very slowly. When he joined theater after school, he took training to make his voice reach far without a mic. This practice made his voice very powerful. Today they scream louder than roaring sports cars at car shows. However, sometimes this also makes them choke.
