OMG! The groom king gave such a return gift worth Rs 33.6 crore to the wedding guests, the whole village jumped with joy

Nanded’s unique wedding: Usually, when guests leave weddings, they are given sweets, clothes or some small valuable item as return gifts. But such a unique wedding has come to light from Nanded district of Maharashtra, which has changed the definition of return gift. Here the groom and his family have given such a unique and priceless gift to the wedding guests and the entire village, which is worth about Rs 33.6 crores. This unique gift is now being discussed all over the country and because of it, a smile has appeared on the face of every villager.

This unique case is from Bahadarpura village of Kandahar tehsil. The wedding of the groom Siddheshwar Pethkar, who lives here, was organized with great pomp on 20th May. The wedding celebration was wonderful amidst traditional rituals, splendid band-music and grand lighting, but the Pethkar family did not want to limit this celebration to just their happiness. He took a big decision to link it with social concern and responsibility.

What is that unique gift of Rs 33.6 crore?

The Pethkar family showed far-sighted thinking instead of spending wastefully as a return gift. He gifted ‘Group Accident Insurance Cover’ worth Rs 1 lakh each to all 3,465 citizens of Bahadarpura village. According to the entire village, the total cover amount of this group policy comes to around Rs 33.6 crore. The Pethkar family has paid the premium for this unique gift from their own pocket, which will directly benefit the villagers for a whole year.

Why was this big decision taken?

The groom’s family says that in rural areas there is often a danger of snake bite, lightning or accidents caused by machinery during farming. Many times, due to these accidents, poor families face financial crisis. Keeping this in mind, it was decided to provide a protective shield to the villagers.

To implement this plan, the Pethkar family took the help of the Gram Panchayat. The official voter list of the village was handed over to the insurance company, so that every eligible villager could be directly linked to this security policy without any discrimination, running around or complicated paperwork. This return gift in the form of security received at the wedding is being appreciated everywhere.
