A report revealed that some people even wash their short clothes, especially undergarments, in the hotel kettle. According to a survey, about 23% people admitted that they have sometimes used the hotel’s electric kettle to clean undergarments. Not only this, some people also make instant noodles directly in it. However, this does not mean that the kettle in every hotel is dirty. Most good hotels get their rooms cleaned regularly and also take care of the electric appliances. William Hanson advises that if you must use a hotel kettle, first fill it with fresh water and boil it completely once. After this throw away that water. Then fill it again with clean water and use it for tea, coffee or any other purpose. By doing this, the dust, light dirt or limescale present inside the kettle can be reduced to some extent. Although this does not guarantee complete elimination of germs, extra precautions are definitely taken.
Not only the kettle, the behavior of the guests during their stay in the hotel also matters a lot. Many surveys show that some people do not talk properly to the hotel staff, make excessive noise at night or leave the room very dirty.
