Paresh Rawal On OMG 2: Two films of Akshay Kumar have been released this year. Which includes ‘Bhoot Bungalow’ and ‘Welcome to the Jungle’. Also, Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal have worked together in both the films. Well, this is not the first time that both are working together. He has made waves in many films and one of his popular films is – ‘Oh My God’ (OMG). Which got a very good response from the people. But still why did Paresh Rawal refuse to work in OMG 2? Now the actor has told everything. He said, “The saddest thing is that I was not even given credit for the story or concept. My name was not mentioned anywhere.”
Actually, Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 was released in the year 2023, in which Paresh Rawal Didn’t work. In a recent interview, he told the real reason for withdrawing from the sequel of the film. Also told about the irregularities behind the scenes. He said, “I contacted Amit Rai, director of ‘Road to Sangam’. I also asked him if he was planning to make another film. I respect him a lot. I told him, I have an idea.”
What was Paresh Rawal’s idea?
Recently, Paresh Rawal told that I had told Amit Rai that – “Let’s sit down and write it. I am not a writer, but I can give ideas and help in identifying where we are making mistakes. Because I have some understanding of screenplays.” This story was about a boy who is caught masturbating. And his video goes viral, making his life difficult. And his father was a tourist guide in Khajuraho temple. Amit had asked him to make him a part-time priest in the Mahakal temple. We prepared the script together and included sexologist Dr. Prakash Kothari in it.”

Paresh Rawal told that he had asked Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan to play the role of biker in this film. But since the film was on a different topic, he absolutely refused. Paresh also said that he did not contact Akshay Kumar because it was a standalone film. It was not planned as ‘OMG 2’.
How did Akshay enter the film?
However, Amit Rai had contacted Akshay Kumar and producer Ashwin Varde. Also, after a few days, Paresh Rawal was told that – Akshay wants to do this film, now he does not want to make it as OMG 2. But the script was called OMG 2 only. After which the actor said- I do not want to move ahead with this. Amit said- ‘But he wants to make it, he has taken the script from him. I told Amit that I cannot fight with him, he is my friend. If this is what he chooses, then my best wishes are with him. I repeatedly told him not to make it a franchise, but he still went ahead.
Later Akshay tried to convince him for the film, but he refused. Because the angle of God was being added to it, which was not the real idea. That’s why I left it. The saddest thing is that I was not given credit for the story.
