OMG 2 Paresh Rawal Statement: Famous Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal recently made many shocking claims in a podcast about the film ‘OMG 2’, after which his podcast created a stir on the internet. Now the film’s original producer Ashwin Varde, breaking his silence on these allegations, has taken Paresh Rawal to task. Ashwin Varde has issued an official statement rejecting all the allegations of Paresh Rawal and calling them ‘false and baseless’. The producer has clearly said that after this controversy, it had become very important to bring the truth in front of the public.
While narrating the story of the beginning of the film, Ashwin Varde revealed that director Amit Rai had written this script on the request of Paresh Rawal on the format of ‘OMG’. But when Ashwin came to know that the original rights of the film were with Akshay Kumar, then he talked to Paresh Rawal about it.
Ashwin Varde said, “Paresh Rawal claimed that he owned the rights and he wanted to keep Akshay Kumar out of this project completely. He wanted to steal Akshay’s IP by changing his name under another name, which was completely unethical, unprofessional and a kind of theft. When I told Paresh Rawal that this film cannot be made without Akshay Kumar’s permission and I will not get it into legal trouble, then he was adamant.
Paresh Rawal got money and credit without doing anything
Ashwin further told that when his company (Vakao Films) purchased this script legally from Amit Rai, he first showed the script to Akshay Kumar. Akshay liked the story very much and he himself tried to convince Paresh Rawal to work in the film. But Paresh remained adamant on his insistence and said no to the film after making him wait for two months.

The producer made the biggest bombshell and said, “Paresh Rawal had not contributed a penny to this film. Despite this, we gave him full respect and gave due credit to his wife Swaroop Sampat and his partner Hemal Thakkar as producers in the film. Not only this, Paresh Rawal was also given a fixed amount (fee) for ‘OMG 2’, which he conveniently forgot in his latest interview.”

The roots of this entire controversy go before the making of the 2023 blockbuster film ‘OMG 2’. In fact, recently Paresh Rawal had alleged in a podcast that ‘OMG 2’ The story and idea was actually his, which he had prepared in collaboration with director Amit Rai. Paresh Rawal claimed that the makers fraudulently ousted him from the project and he did not get the credit and rights of the film.
