Obsession BO Day 2: 1 hour 50 minute horror film is creating havoc in India for the second day, earning this much

We are talking about the psychological horror film Obsession. This film has earned a lot overseas and now this film is making good money in India also. Made under the direction of Cary Barker, this film has earned Rs 2.75 crore at the Indian box office on the second day of its release. According to the report of Free Press Journal, the film had opened with a total earning of Rs 1.75 crore. The total collection of the film so far has become 5.4 crores.

Indian fans angry at the release of the film

The specialty of this film is that there is neither any big name nor any budget in this film, but still the film has created a lot of buzz. This film was released in theaters on 29 May. As soon as it came to India, people got angry on its release and because of this the scissors of the censor board. Despite getting ‘A’ certificate from CBFC, 38 seconds of scenes have been cut from ‘Obsession’, due to which the fans are very angry.

Indian audience’s ‘obsession’

The Indian audience was waiting for a long time for ‘Obsession’, which was released in America on May 15. After a wait of 15 days, this film was released in India with A certificate on 29 May. But the censor board cut two major scenes, due to which the audience is very angry. Carrie Barker’s film ‘Obsession’ was of 1 hour 50 minutes. But in India this film was released with 38 seconds less time. The Censor Board has removed two scenes from the film – one scene full of extreme violence and the other a very intimate scene. This film was released on approximately 1,151 screens in India.

Only after these two cuts the film reached Indian theatres. Carrie Barker’s ‘Obsession’ premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 5, 2025 and now the film is making waves as soon as it hits the theatres. In just 15 days, this film has earned 10 million USD i.e. Rs 950 crore in America. This film has left behind many big budget films.
