
During the protest by students and various organizations at Jantar Mantar in Delhi regarding the paper leak, many objectionable videos were made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Especially during the celebrations after the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, many such videos were posted on social media in which objectionable things were being said against the PM. Now there is news quoting Delhi Police sources that this objectionable content is being removed.
Delhi Police has taken major action regarding objectionable posts and comments made against the Prime Minister on different social media platforms during the Jantar Mantar protest and the violence related to it. According to sources, posts, videos and comments containing vulgar language, abusive words and objectionable comments against PM Modi have been removed.
Instructions for immediate removal from social media
Delhi Police has issued notices to many social media platforms and instructed them to immediately remove such objectionable posts and videos. According to the police, during the demonstration and violence, a large number of posts using objectionable language against PM Modi were uploaded on social media.
Sources say that after the protest is over, the police are continuously identifying such objectionable content on different social media platforms. After identification, notices are being issued to the concerned social media platforms asking them to take necessary action.
According to sources, the social media monitoring team of Delhi Police is continuously keeping an eye on such content and similar action will continue in future also. Sources say that the police is also investigating whether any law has been violated in any content or there was a possibility of it disturbing public order.
