Nripendra Mishra’s advice amid Ram temple donation fund controversy, said – Experienced CEO should be appointed

June 18, 2026 by Uma Shankar

Amidst the investigation of the alleged irregularities in the donation amount of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple and the SIT engaged in its investigation, a big statement of Ram Mandir Construction Committee Chairman Nripendra Mishra has come to light. He has said that for the smooth operation and better management of a religious center of international importance like Ram Temple, an experienced and capable Chief Executive Officer (CEO) or Special Executive Officer should be appointed as soon as possible, who should also have sufficient independence in administrative work.

Talking to the media, Nripendra Mishra said that if questions are raised on the management of a religious institution, then everyone associated with it naturally feels pain. He said that Ram temple is the center of faith of crores of devotees, hence transparency and accountability should be the top priority in the arrangements here.

‘Serious problems may arise in future’

President Nripendra also told about the land purchase dispute that came up earlier. He said that after that matter, there was a detailed discussion in the trust meeting and a three-member committee was formed to make the land purchase process more transparent in future. According to him that incident was a warning. If transparency is not maintained in the systems, serious problems may arise in future.

Describing the current case of embezzlement of donations as more serious than the earlier controversies, Nripendra Mishra said that the SIT is investigating the matter. It is expected that it will submit its report within the stipulated time limit. He expressed confidence that during the investigation, all the facts will be evaluated objectively and appropriate action will be taken against the culprits.

Regarding the increasing global importance of Ram Temple, he said that Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple has now become not just a religious place but an international symbol of Sanatan Dharma. In such a situation, the administration and management here should be of the highest level compared to other major religious institutions of the country. He suggested that an experienced officer should be appointed for the daily operations of the temple, administrative decisions and management related work, who would work under the trust but should also have sufficient freedom to take decisions. He believes that this will increase efficiency, transparency and accountability in the systems.

‘The biggest asset is the faith of the devotees’

Nripendra Mishra said that the biggest asset of any religious institution is the faith of the devotees. Crores of people in the country and the world have deep faith in Ram Temple. Therefore, there is a need to seriously consider institutional reforms to make the temple management more strong, transparent and accountable.

This statement of Nripendra Mishra is being considered important amid the investigation into the donation embezzlement case because for the first time he has openly stressed on the need for improving the structure of temple management and a professional administrative system.
