Many people are calling it a big discovery of the future, while some are considering it just a marketing stunt.
How does this AI pet translator work?
A Chinese startup named Meng Xiaoyi has prepared this collar with special AI technology. According to the company, microphones, motion sensors and artificial intelligence have been used in it, which understands the sounds, movements and behavior of pets. This device is based on Alibaba Cloud’s Quen AI model, which has been trained from millions of pet vocal samples. The company claims that this collar can recognize more than 20 emotions. The video demo showed a cat’s meow changing into “I wanna play” and a dog’s barking into “I’m hungry.” However, no independent agency has yet confirmed these claims.
Humans will also be able to talk to pets
This device is not limited to just understanding animals. The company claims that users can also communicate with their pets through this system. That is, now instead of saying “psspsps” or “come here”, humans will be able to give instructions in normal language and the collar will convert them into animal voices. According to the company, this device works wirelessly and the weight of the collar is only 27 grams, which can be easily tied on the neck of the pet. This technology can be especially useful for those who want to better understand the behavior and emotions of their pets. The company says that it has received more than 10 thousand preorders even before the launch.
Debate started on social media
While some people are calling this AI collar as a great technology of the future, many users on social media are also raising questions on its claims. One user on Another user said, “The animals are not saying this, but the AI itself is creating the story.” However, many pet lovers believe that they do not need any machine to understand the emotions of their animals. At present, this device will be available for sale in China from May 30 and its starting price has been kept at 799 Yuan i.e. about 11 thousand rupees.
