Telangana News: Another important step has been taken in Telangana towards connecting government education with technology. Three robotic teachers will soon serve in the Zilla Parishad High School (ZPHS) located in Janwada in Rangareddy district. About 750 students study in this school. With the inclusion of these robotic teachers as part of their teaching in regular classes, Janwada ZPHS will become the first government school in Telangana to have this facility.
In support of this programme, Indus International School Hyderabad has signed an MoU with the Government of Telangana. At an event held on July 8, E. Naveen Nicholas, Director of School Education, and Farida Faraz, Principal of Indus International School, exchanged the documents on behalf of their institutions. Through this partnership, students will be provided with modern teaching as well as academic support, guidance, leadership skill development and various educational activities.
Students will be able to participate in school twinning program
Students from government and private schools will also have the opportunity to participate in service-based learning and school twinning programs. Speaking on the occasion, Farida Faraz, Principal of Indus International School, said that we are happy to be a part of the Telangana Government’s goal of creating a sustainable model that provides quality education.
According to Samuel Joseph, head of Indus Schools Community School Project, the development work of Janwada School has been going on for the last eight months. The old building was in a dilapidated condition and there were not enough toilets for the students, so a new G Plus 2 building has been constructed. A conducive environment has been created for the students with spacious classrooms and better infrastructure.
Program running from five years ago
Samuel Joseph said that a similar development program was also conducted in Kondakal Government School five years ago. He said that apart from the reconstruction of the primary school, science laboratories, computer laboratories and a library were set up for the students of higher classes.
He said that the main reasons for choosing Janwada School were its proximity to Sindhu School campus, the large number of students studying there and the need for better educational facilities. Education officials hope that with the appointment of robotic teachers and creation of modern infrastructure, Janwada ZPHS will become a model of technology-based education in government schools.
