Meenakshi Natarajan RS Nomination Rejection: Congress Rajya Sabha MP and senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi has raised questions on the legal validity of the rejection of Meenakshi Natarajan’s nomination paper. He said that the decision of the Returning Officer is wrong as per law and completely biased. He will have to change his decision and accept Natarajan’s nomination paper. No criminal case exists against him (Natarajan).
Singhvi said that the type of case against Natarajan has not been disclosed. Anyone can file a case against anyone, it is not valid until the concern judge takes action on it. Singhvi said that the court had definitely sent a notice to Natarajan but till now no hearing has taken place on it and till the hearing is not held on this matter, canceling his nomination on this basis is legally wrong. This is murder of democracy and seat theft – Digvijay Singh
At the same time, senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Digvijay Singh said that this is murder of democracy. Cancellation of Rajya Sabha nomination papers of Meenakshi Natarajan is illegal. Singh said that till date neither the FIR regarding the case due to which it was canceled nor that case has been registered. Only a notice has been issued, there is no provision to mention it in the nomination papers. This is sheer seat theft. Our struggle will continue.

Congress got angry after the nomination was canceled
Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari said that all our documents were completely correct, but the BJP and the Election Commission had already decided to cancel the nomination of the Congress candidate by adopting ‘Saam, Daam, Dand, Bheed’. The BJP government first wrote the entire script and then ran the Election Commission accordingly and got the nominations cancelled.
He said that the whole country is watching how Narendra Modi and BJP are killing democracy. Congress is furious after the cancellation of Natarajan’s nomination. The politics of the state has heated up regarding the Rajya Sabha elections. There are elections for three seats in Madhya Pradesh.
