Salman Khan Sultan: Along with Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma, Randeep Hooda was also seen in an important role in director Ali Abbas Zafar’s film ‘Sultan’ released in 2016. He played the character named Fateh Singh, who trains Sultan in wrestling and mixed martial arts and prepares him to fight again. But Randeep Hooda was not the first choice for this role. The makers wanted to cast famous American actor Sylvester Stallone in the role of the coach.

Director Ali Abbas Zafar himself has revealed that he also had talks with Sylvester Stallone for this role. Ali Abbas Zafar liked Sylvester Stallone’s work in the 1976 film ‘Rocky’. In this film he was seen in the role of a boxer. In such a situation, Ali Abbas Zafar had thought of casting him in ‘Sultan’.

Ali Abbas Zafar, while talking to Variety India, said that many other names were considered for the role played by Randeep. But the actor who was most talked about for casting was Sylvester Stallone. Ali Abbas Zafar said, “We thought of taking Sylvester Stallone because he had worked in ‘Rocky’ and there could be no one better than Rocky to train Sultan. I met him. He liked the script very much, but their dates did not match.”
