North Korea has again given a message to the world, which may increase the concern of Washington, Seoul and Tokyo. The most interesting thing is that this statement has come at a time when Chinese President Xi Jinping is about to reach Pyongyang for the first time since 2019. So is this a challenge only to America or is it a message to China also?

North Korea will not give up nuclear weapons

China is North Korea’s largest economic partner
This visit is also important because China is North Korea’s biggest political and economic partner. In such a situation, Kim Jong Un’s arrival at the missile factory just before Jinping’s visit and Kim Yo Jong’s strict statement on nuclear weapons are giving many indications. Experts believe that Pyongyang wants to tell the world that friendship has its place but there will be no compromise on nuclear policy. And this is where the old promise comes in, which America had been hoping for for years. A promise which has probably now become history.
Many historic meetings between Trump and Jong
In the years 2018 and 2019, many historic meetings took place between US President Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un. At that time, it was hoped that North Korea would limit its nuclear program and move towards eliminating weapons. But the talks cooled down and no agreement was reached. Now Kim Yo Jong’s latest statement has made it almost clear that Pyongyang now considers itself a permanent nuclear power. That is, moving beyond the old discussion of denuclearization, North Korea now wants nuclear identity.
