Under the new peace agreement between America and Iran, Iran can get funds of up to 300 billion dollars for reconstruction and economic development. However, America has made it clear that Iran will get this money only when it fulfills all the conditions of the agreement. Meanwhile, Iran has made a big agreement to buy 20 helicopters from Russia.
US Vice President JD Vance said in an interview with CBS News that the $300 billion fund has not been decided yet. This fund can be given by the Gulf countries, but for this Iran will have to follow the conditions related to its nuclear program. Vance said that Iran must end its nuclear program, eliminate its stockpile of enriched uranium and fully accept the international inspection system. Only then will he be able to get the benefit of this financial assistance.
Where will helicopters be used?
Without waiting for these conditions to be fulfilled, Iran has signed an agreement to buy 20 helicopters from Russia. This agreement has been signed between Russia’s government helicopter company and Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS). The agreement was signed by IRCS chief Pir-Hossein Kulivand and Russian Helicopters Company Director General Nikolai Kolesov.
After the agreement, Kulivand said in Moscow that the purpose of purchasing 20 helicopters from Russia is to strengthen Iran’s air defense and logistics capability. He described it as the biggest and most important agreement in the history of the Iranian Red Crescent.
Helicopters will be equipped with night vision
According to Kulivand, the contract for the purchase of the first four helicopters has already been completed. The delivery of these helicopters is expected to take place before the Persian New Year Nowruz in March 2027. He told that the new helicopters will be equipped with modern technology and night vision system. They will be able to fly even at night. They will also be used in extinguishing fires, providing medical aid and emergency rescue operations.
