
Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) leader Abhijeet Dipke and other workers are going to take out a protest march towards the Parliament. Security has been greatly increased ahead of this march. Monsoon session is starting today, hence security has been tightened near the Parliament also. Many Rapid Action Force personnel have been deployed here. At present, CJP is continuing its protest at Jantar Mantar. According to Delhi Police, CJP has not yet sought any official approval for the march. This march was first announced by Sonam Wangchuk. Sonam Wangchuk was taken to the hospital on Saturday. An advisory has been issued by Delhi Police that no permission has been given by them for the Parliament march.
Also, a warning has been given that strict action will be taken against those who break prohibitory orders in New Delhi district. In a statement, Delhi Police said that prohibitory orders are in force in New Delhi district under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code (BNSS), which is similar to the earlier Section 144 of the CrPC.

In view of reports of a proposed march to Parliament by CJP on 20.07.2026 (Monday), Delhi Police herein categorically clarifies that no permission has been sought or granted for any such protest march/procession.

Ban on gathering of 5 or more people
According to police advisory, demonstration is allowed at Jantar Mantar with prior permission. But, apart from this, protest marches, processions, demonstrations or gathering of five or more people is completely prohibited. Police said that the monsoon session of Parliament is starting from July 20. Therefore, huge arrangements have been made for the safety of common people, safety of VIPs and security of government buildings.
Delhi Police has warned that legal action will be taken against anyone breaking the prohibitory orders. Earlier, Sonam Wangchuk said that if the government takes responsibility for the recent irregularities in the education system (like paper leaks), or the MPs assure that this issue will be raised in the monsoon session, then he will end his hunger strike.
