NIA’s supplementary chargesheet in Delhi Red Fort car bomb blast case, 3 more accused named

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a supplementary charge sheet against three more accused in the horrific car bomb blast case that took place in the Red Fort area of ​​Delhi in November 2025. 11 people died in this blast. The names of the new accused are Jamir Ahmed Ahangar, Tufail Ahmed Bhat and absconding Muzaffar Ahmed alias Faraz alias Zafar. All three are residents of Jammu and Kashmir.

With this, the number of accused chargesheeted in this case has increased to 13, which also includes the main accused Dr. Omar Un Nabi (now deceased).

NIA According to the report, absconding accused Muzaffar Ahmed, who is a pediatrician (MBBS, MD) by profession, is the elder brother of co-accused Dr. Adeel Ahmed Rather and is a founding member of a terrorist organization named AGuH Interim.

A conspiracy was hatched for VBIED attack

Investigation has revealed that Muzaffar, along with Dr. Umar, Muzammil, Adeel and Mufti Irfan, had conspired to carry out the Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED) attack on November 10, 2025.

According to the NIA, a terrorist module named AGuH Interim was established in a secret meeting held at Eidgah in Srinagar in June 2022, in which Muzaffar was also involved.

Investigation also revealed that he was actively involved in preparing, testing and safekeeping of TATP based explosives in a secret IED factory running at Al-Falah University, Faridabad. A non-bailable warrant (NBW) has been issued against him and efforts are on to arrest him.

According to the charge sheet, Zameer Ahmed Ahangar was an overground worker (OGW) of the terrorist module and he used to deliver arms, ammunition and cash to the terrorists.

Three new accused in NIA charge sheet

Whereas Tufail Ahmed Bhat, who had earlier been an OGW of the banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), used to supply weapons to the module. He acquired one AK-47, one Krinkov rifle, one pistol, magazine and live cartridges through dead drop and provided them to the main accused Dr. Umar Un Nabi for Rs 3 lakh.

NIA has filed charges against the arrested accused Jamir and Tufail under various sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and the Indian Justice Code (BNS).

A case has been registered against absconding Muzaffar Ahmed under several serious sections including conspiracy to murder, Explosive Substances Act, Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act (PDPP Act).

The agency said that the links between the accused have been exposed through scientific forensic investigation, geo-location mapping and in-depth investigation of financial transactions. The investigation of the case is still going on.
