
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken major action in the case of the grenade attack on Sirsa Mahila Police Station in Haryana. NIA has filed a charge sheet in this case against a total of 9 accused including 2 Pakistani citizens. This grenade attack took place last year in November 2025, after which panic spread in the entire area.
According to the investigating agency, the mastermind of this conspiracy is Shehzad Bhatti, a gangster turned terrorist hiding in Pakistan. Along with him, Sohail Ahmed alias Sohail Baloch was also running this network. Both of them are accused of conspiring to create an atmosphere of terror by targeting several police stations in the country.
7 Indian accused in the charge sheet
The Indian accused whose names are included in the NIA charge sheet include Dheeraj alias Dhiru, Vikas alias Vicky, Vikas, Sandeep alias Demar, Sushil alias Sillu, Mohammad Sijan alias Ghazi and Gurjant Singh. According to the investigating agency, Shehzad Bhatti was adding youth to his network through social media and encrypted apps. After this, he was preparing the youth to attack India by pushing them towards radicalism.
In the charge sheet, Dheeraj was made the main responsible for the entire operation in India, who was maintaining coordination between different modules. NIA investigation revealed that the accused first conducted recce of many places and then decided to target the Mahila Police Station of Sirsa. The grenade used to carry out the attack was brought from Amritsar, Punjab, and was provided by Gurjant Singh.
Foreign Network – Looking for funding channels
The video of this attack that took place on November 25, 2025 was also recorded by the accused on a mobile phone so that it could be spread on social media to give more publicity and create panic among the people.
NIA said that during the investigation, the entire chain of recruiting people, funding, collecting weapons and carrying out attacks has come to light. The agency is now busy searching for foreign networks, funding channels and absconding accused in this case. At present, a case has been registered against all the accused under different sections of UAPA, Indian Justice Code (BNS) and Explosive Substances Act.
