New platform launched in Britain, anti-Hindu incidents will be monitored on this

May 22, 2026 by Uma Shankar

A new online platform has been launched in Britain to prevent and monitor the increasing hate crimes against Hindus. It has been named Anti Hindu Hate Monitoring Centre. The purpose of this platform is to record and monitor incidents of discrimination, hatred and crimes against the Hindu community.

For some time now, there have been reports of increasing crimes against Hindus in London. Keeping this in view, this new initiative has been started. The organization says that till now such cases were not reported properly and many people did not even file complaints due to fear or other reasons.

London sees 23% increase in hate violence

According to BBC report, there has been a 23% increase in hate crimes based on religion in London this year. Last year, 839 such cases were registered from January to April, whereas this year, 1,032 cases have been reported in the same period. This increase has also become a matter of concern for the London Police.

The people running this platform say that this center will collect people’s complaints, keep records of incidents and release data to understand the pattern of hatred against Hindus across Britain. He says that the existing systems are not able to record anti-Hindu incidents properly.

Why was there a need for this platform?

According to supporters of this initiative, many Hindus living in Britain had complained of harassment, vandalism and online abuse. Keeping these concerns in mind, this platform was prepared. This initiative is based on a report released last year. The name of this report was Investigation of hatred and discrimination against Hindus in Britain. It was told that there is no strong and systematic system to deal with crimes and discrimination against Hindus.

There will be an initiative to register the data with the police

London Assembly member Kripesh Hirani said that until now there was no way to report these crimes. He told that he had also raised this issue in the City Hall a few years ago. He said that it is a good thing that now the community is working unitedly in this direction.

Hirani also said that his next goal would be to ensure that the data being recorded on this platform is also recognized by the Metropolitan Police. He also appealed to the Hindu community to use this online platform and report such incidents.
