NEET-UG re-examination is to be held tomorrow. About 22 lakh candidates will take part in it. Mock drills were also conducted across the country on Saturday before the examination. Different teams of police, district administration and examination centers were busy trying to ensure that there was no paper leak on Sunday nor any incident of any kind of cheating. Amidst all this, mock drills continued throughout the day on Saturday.
After the last paper leak, it is a challenge for NTA to conduct the examination without any problem this time. Let us tell you that about 22 lakh students from across the country will take the NEET exam tomorrow. For this, centers have been set up in 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad. A total of more than 5000 exam centers have been created for this year’s examination. More than 2 lakh employees, 674 city coordinators and 6,669 observers are deployed. Aadhaar based biometric system has been made to prevent any kind of cheating.
The examination center will be monitored through CCTV cameras, which will be live monitored from the centralized control room. GPS tracking will be done to carry the papers to the examination centre. Police escort will be provided. Apart from this, many arrangements have been made so that paper leaks can be prevented. Although systems like metal detector testing, CCTV surveillance and strict frisking of students will definitely help in preventing cheating at the examination centres, NTA should not forget that the biggest challenge of an examination like NEET is not the cheating that happens inside the examination centre, but the paper leak that happens before the examination.

Keep a close eye on rumors and fake “paper leak” claims
