
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has written a letter to all the Chief Ministers, Lieutenant Governors and administrators across the country, seeking their cooperation in conducting the NEET (UG) re-examination to be held on June 21, 2026 in a smooth, fair and successful manner. In view of the prevailing scorching heat, the Union Minister has also specifically requested them to provide all necessary basic facilities at the examination centers for the convenience and well-being of the candidates.
in your letter Prime Wrote that in view of the ongoing heatwave situation, I request you to give proper instructions to the district authorities in your state or union territory and all the schools, colleges, universities and other institutions hosting the examination to provide necessary basic facilities for the convenience of the candidates.
Emphasis on safety and convenience of students
The Education Minister wrote that these may include clean drinking water, proper seating arrangement, working fans/coolers, clean washrooms, shady waiting areas, uninterrupted power supply and portable toilets wherever needed.
Emphasizing that the interest and well-being of the students is of utmost importance. The Union Minister has asked all the state governments to ensure proper transportation facilities for the candidates on the day of examination on June 21.
Focus on fair and transparent exam
Pradhan expressed confidence that all the states will extend their full cooperation to ensure that the NEET (UG) 2026 re-exam is conducted in a smooth, transparent and fair manner.
