NEET-UG exam, which was conducted again after the paper leak, ended peacefully. This time the security was much tighter than last time. Although 22 lakh students appeared in the last examination, this time this number came down to 20 lakh. PM Narendra Modi himself also kept an eye on ensuring that the examination takes place without any problem. However, on the next day of the examination, a big solver gang was also caught from Bihar in which 24 people including 7 solvers were arrested.
Last month, on May 3, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Graduate (NEET-UG) examination was conducted, but this examination was canceled after several cases of paper leaks came to light. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced to conduct the examination again on June 21. Now more than 20 lakh medical candidates took part in the examination which was conducted again on Sunday.

The opposition fiercely targeted the central government on the paper leak issue, in such a situation it was a big challenge for the government to conduct this examination smoothly. National Testing Agency (NTA) said after the examination that more than 20 lakh students took part in this re-examination at 5,440 centers in the country and 14 centers abroad. This examination was conducted in a total of 13 languages including Hindi and English. The examination agency said that this was not just the efforts of NTA but it was the spirit of Team India.

The work of re-examination was completed in just 37 days. 51,311 jammers were also installed to prevent any irregularities in the examination.
On the cases of cheating in the re-conducted exams, Abhishek Singh said, “Some cases were reported from Lakhisarai. In some cases, students were trying to take mobile phones inside. Someone was trying to take the exam in place of someone else. We do searches, checking, CCTV surveillance and biometric authentication at every level to prevent such irregularities. All our security arrangements are aimed at ensuring that no one is able to commit irregularities. They will be caught.”

To avoid any kind of rigging in the examination, all arrangements were made at all the examination centers with the help of Aadhar card based biometric and facial recognition, CCTV surveillance, jammers and state police. However, despite all this promptness, there were cases of people coming to some examination centers with wrong admit cards and at some centers with fake admit cards.
Big solver gang exposed in Bihar
On the other hand, in the re-conducted examination of NEET UG, a big solver gang has been exposed in Bihar. A total of 24 accused, including 7 solvers, have been arrested at 3 examination centers in Lakhisarai district. Those arrested also include 14 employees of a company doing biometric verification. Initial investigation has revealed that a deal of Rs 30 lakh each was made to conduct the examination by appointing other people in place of the real candidates.
It is being said that the mastermind of this entire racket is Arpit Raj, who is currently studying in Gaya Medical College. Arpit’s name also appeared in the NEET paper leak case of year 2024. Even then the CBI had interrogated him.
Students face problems at many examination centers
During the examination, students had to face a lot of problems due to their late arrival at many centres. In Bhopal, 2 students were not allowed to go to the examination center due to arriving late. An uncle of one of the candidates said, “I have come here with my nephew for his examination. While coming to the examination centre, we met with an accident and we got a little late.
We reached late because of giving first aid to the injured nephew. But he was not allowed to take the exam. In Bengaluru also, some students were not allowed to go to the examination center due to late arrival.
Separate room for injured student
Even in Kolkata, candidates had to struggle a lot to reach the examination centre. Due to heavy rains, there was waterlogging in Kolkata and its surrounding areas and the traffic system was disrupted. Meanwhile, an injured candidate in Kolkata was given a separate room at the examination centre. Besides, medical aid and an ambulance were also arranged for him.
Female candidate Srishti Dubey was seriously injured in a road accident on June 14, but despite being injured, she had demanded special arrangements for the examination. Education Minister Pradhan himself spoke to the parents of the candidate.

Similarly, a NEET candidate wearing a burqa alleged that he was not allowed to enter an examination center in Ajmer. Kulsoom Bano claimed that she had appeared in the earlier examination. Kulsoom said, “I have come here from Beawar to take the NEET exam. When I took the exam on May 3, I came wearing similar clothes. First, I was told that I would have to remove the dupatta to enter. Then they also said that I would have to remove the burqa as well.”
She said, “Exams don’t matter to me. What matters to me is my burqa and my identity.” However later, NTA informed that the candidate was allowed admission.
Along with Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, the examination was also conducted in Jharkhand amid tight security. A total of 67 examination centers were made in the state in which more than 30 thousand candidates appeared in the examination.
PM Modi stayed at the airport
On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after reaching Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport from Kolkata after attending the program related to International Yoga Day, stopped there for some time, so that any candidate going for the examination does not face inconvenience due to traffic restrictions.
It is also being said that the questions of this exam were much more difficult than the previous exam. According to most of the students, Physics section was the most challenging and time consuming. Whereas Biology paper was easy. Candidates say that due to the paper being difficult, the cut-off is likely to be lower this time.
