
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday announced free travel for all candidates appearing for the NEET-UG 2026 exam to be held on June 21, through which they will be able to use Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) buses for free to reach their exam centres. Under this initiative, candidates will have to show their valid NEET admit card to the bus conductor to avail this facility.
The Delhi government said that this decision has been taken to help the students who are appearing for the exam again, as the National Testing Agency (NTA) had canceled the NEET-UG exam held on May 3 amid allegations of paper leak. Re-exam is to be held on June 21.
Announcing the move, the Chief Minister Rekha Gupta Said that many candidates have to re-appear after the exam was canceled and they are facing extra pressure related to mental, financial and time along with their families.

CM Gupta said, understanding these challenges, Delhi government stands with the candidates. The government is trying to ensure that the candidates do not face any problem in commuting on the exam day. He said that free travel in DTC buses will help the candidates to reach their exam centers on time without any extra stress and they will be able to give the exam with full concentration and confidence.
The Delhi Government will provide free travel in all DTC buses to candidates appearing for NEET (UG) 2026 on 21 June upon presentation of a valid admit card.

In a statement, the Chief Minister’s Office said, the Delhi government under the leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has announced that all NEET candidates will be able to travel free in DTC buses on June 21, the day of the exam, to reach their respective exam centres. To avail this facility, candidates will have to show their valid NEET admit card to the bus conductor.
CM Gupta said that time, hard work and future of young students is very important and he said that Delhi Government is committed to provide all possible support and facilities during studies and competitive exams.

He further said that exams like NEET are closely related to the life and future of the candidates and it is the responsibility of the government to provide maximum support and facilities on the day of the exam so that the students do not have to face unnecessary difficulties or stress.
In a post, Gupta said, to help the candidates appearing for the NEET (UG) 2026 exam on June 21, the Delhi government will provide free travel in all DTC buses on showing valid admit card. No student should face problems on a day that is so important for their future.
Wishing all the best to the candidates, the Chief Minister said that this examination is an opportunity to give a new direction to their hard work, dedication and dreams. He appealed to the candidates to take the examination with confidence and wished them success and good future.
He also appealed to all NEET candidates to carry their admit cards with them on June 21 and show them to the DTC bus conductor so that they can avail the facility of free travel.
