An important meeting was held at the residence of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh in view of the coordination between the organization, the government and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). This marathon meeting lasted for about 4 hours. Apart from Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Health Minister JP Nadda, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Nitin Naveen, Organization Minister BL Santosh, Co-Organization Minister Shivprakash and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan were present in the meeting. According to sources associated with BJP, there was discussion about restructuring and working methodology for the organization at the national level. Also, the re-examination of NEET and the political circumstances and developments in some other states including the election state Punjab were discussed in detail.
BJP can increase the number of officials
According to sources associated with the party, rescheduling of BJP Parliamentary Board, new system of Regional Guardian Officer, BJP’s Grievance Mechanism, increase in participation of women in the organization, increase in the number of BJP office bearers, recomposition of BJP Executive and National Council were the main topics of discussion in this meeting.
Apart from this, after achieving success in forming the government in Bengal with the aim of establishing BJP’s dominance over the country’s four important border states of West Bengal, Punjab, Kerala and Tamil Nadu, now Home Minister Amit Shah’s focus on Punjab was increased and further strategy was discussed.
The discussion of making 8 or 9 regional guardian officers from among the members of the Parliamentary Board, the most powerful unit of BJP, has been going on for some time. The discussion on appointment of Regional Guardian Officer in the organization, decentralization of power and giving power to the Parliamentary Board members has been going on at the ideological level for a long time. Similarly, the Grievance Mechanism and adding the Parent Officer to it is also being discussed for a long time.
Apart from this, there has been ongoing discussion on increasing the participation of women in the organization i.e. increasing the participation of women in overall office bearers. Along with this, a case can be made for recomposition of the National Executive i.e. increasing its strength.
BJP President’s meeting before announcing the new team
There may be a discussion at the central level to increase the number of overall office bearers. At present the number of central officials can be increased from 45 to 60. Along with this, the number of members in the National Executive and members in the National Council can be increased.
It is believed that this meeting was an important part of the exercise to be done before the announcement of the new national team of the BJP President and the reshuffle in the central government. Also, this meeting is an important part of the process of finalizing changes in the organization and government after Prime Minister Modi returns from his foreign tour on June 18.
