
A big revelation has come to light in Maharashtra in the NEET paper leak case. It has come to light that Latur’s pediatrician Dr. Manoj Shirure had sent leaked NEET papers to 4 hospitals. Now CBI can make Dr. Manoj the main government witness in this case. Five more doctors from Latur, Nanded and Sambhajinagar are being interrogated on Manoj’s evidence and statement. Of these 5 doctors, 2 are child specialists, 2 are gynecologists and 1 is working in OPD in a government hospital.
Let us tell you that in the case of NEET-UG 2026 paper leak, the clampdown has started on the students and their parents also. In this series, famous pediatrician of Latur, Dr. Manoj Shirure has been detained by CBI and interrogated in Pune. It is alleged that he had allegedly bought the leaked paper to benefit his son and other children of the family.
Manoj ready to become a government witness
According to sources, CBI first raided his hospital and other places in Latur and interrogated him for about several and a half hours. During this period, mobile phones, documents and other digital materials were confiscated. Later he was brought to the CBI office in Pune, where the interrogation continued till late night. According to sources, Dr. Manoj has agreed to become a government witness in this case.
The investigating agencies believe that through them the modus operandi of the entire paper leak network can be placed before the court as direct witnesses. CBI investigation has revealed that Shirure had contacts with retired chemistry professor PV Kulkarni and RCC classes director Shivraj Motegaonkar. It is alleged that the question paper was delivered to the students through these networks.
Bought paper for Rs 12 lakh
The investigating agencies suspect that Shirure had bought the alleged leaked paper for his son for about Rs 12 lakh. Later, to recover the money, PDF of the same paper was also sent to other people through Telegram. CBI is now also investigating the financial transactions related to this network. According to sources, Shirure had allegedly purchased the question paper not only for his son but also for other children in the family.
For this reason, his wife and relative Dr. Pramod have also been interrogated. The technical team of CBI has recovered many deleted digital data during the investigation. It is alleged that after the examination, on May 3, Shivraj Motegaonkar had deleted many files from the mobile, but the forensic team recovered that data.
some questions were memorized by writing
Investigation has also revealed that while preparing the question paper, some questions were memorized by writing them by hand and later they were converted into PDF and spread through mobile and telegram. According to CBI, the paper leak network was spread across five states but Maharashtra and Rajasthan have emerged as the biggest distribution centers of this racket. The investigation of Nagpur module and Shivraj Motegaonkar network is still going on.
