While the future of more than 22 lakh students hangs in the dark due to the cancellation of the country’s biggest medical entrance examination, NEET-2026, the Aam Aadmi Party’s Punjab government has set a great example of sensitivity in the midst of this national crisis. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal have announced a major decision in favor of the candidates for the first time in the history of the country.
Punjab Government has announced that the travel of NEET students will be absolutely free in all buses of Punjab Roadways for the examination to be held on 20, 21 and 22 June. Students just have to show their admit card and they will be able to reach their examination centers without spending a single rupee.
Your dream, our responsibility
This decision has been taken after direct communication between Arvind Kejriwal and the students. In that dialogue, poor children had expressed the pain of increasing financial burden due to repeated paper leaks and not having money even for bus fare.
With this big decision, the Punjab government of Aam Aadmi Party has made it clear that ‘your dream is our responsibility’ and amidst this mental stress of examinations, the Punjab government is standing with the promising people of the country at every step. This is a direct example of political will and sensitivity, which has today become the biggest issue of debate on national and regional news channels of Punjab.
Question paper leaked 42 hours before the exam
Aam Aadmi Party targeted the government by saying that today the entire examination system has become hollow due to the termites of corruption. The open sale of question papers on WhatsApp just 42 hours before the examination and the re-examination of examinations 48 times due to paper being leaked a record 89 times in the last 10 years proves that the central government is playing with the future of the youth of the country.
The Punjab government has released the official poster with the slogan – Right to education, right of every child. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has ensured that no poor child has to suffer the punishment for someone’s mistake. No student should miss his examination due to lack of money.
