
Rain is wreaking havoc in Jammu and Kashmir. It is raining heavily in many districts including Rajouri, Anantnag, Udhampur, due to which people are facing a lot of problems. The flood that occurred after torrential rains last night in Rajouri city has caused huge devastation. Due to the flood, many areas of the city were flooded, due to which people had to suffer huge losses.
According to the information, flood water is increasing rapidly in Rajouri district. Two houses have completely collapsed, while the lower area of Bela bus stand was completely submerged, where many parked vehicles were washed away in the strong current. This incident happened at around 3 in the morning. There is no trace left of the bus stand now.

After the rise in water level, about 200 to 250 cars have been washed away in the flood waters. Whose video is also going viral rapidly. This havoc of nature can be clearly seen in the video. Many vehicles appear to be badly damaged. Only seven of its houses are also likely to be damaged. Local people have appealed to the administration for help. He told that the name and sign of the bus stop has been erased.

A woman also missing
The flood water also entered many residential areas of the city, due to which the goods kept in the houses got spoiled and people suffered huge financial loss. People said that everything they owned was washed away in the water and they were left with nothing. People say that this flood has come after cloud burst. He told that such a disaster has happened after 1992. A woman is also missing in the flood waters.

Water entered houses and shops
People are facing huge difficulties in commuting due to flooding of markets during rains. At many places, drain water started flowing on the roads. Shopkeepers had to make a lot of efforts to get the water out of their establishments. Local people have demanded from the administration to further improve the drainage system.
CM’s eye on the situation
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has said that he is keeping an eye on the situation. While sharing the app post on social media, he said, ‘Since this morning, I have been closely monitoring the situation caused by heavy rains in some parts of Jammu, especially Rajouri city and its surrounding areas. I am in touch with the local MLAs of this area. As the situation is unfolding, the first priority of the administration is to save precious lives. The government will make every possible effort to help and assist the affected people whose property has been damaged by the rains and flash floods.

Appeal to people to be cautious
Meanwhile, the district administration and relief teams are reaching the affected areas and taking stock of the situation. People have been advised to remain alert due to continuous rain. The government has appealed to the people not to travel unnecessarily. They have been asked to stay away from rivers, drains and flood prone areas. The water level is continuously increasing, due to which there is danger.
Between July 19 and 23, the Meteorological Department has predicted rain in many districts of Jammu and Kashmir. Especially Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Rajouri, Doda, Ramban and Kishtwar districts of Jammu division have been kept on high alert, where the possibility of torrential rains is highest. The water level of major rivers and mountain drains of Jammu and Kashmir is rising rapidly.
